W4RES in Verband Wohneigentum Magazine

As part of the W4RES research project, four Berlin residential quarters are being investigated from an energy perspective. In cooperation with these residential quarters, the University of Applied Science in Stuttgart (HFT Stuttgart) analyses the photovoltaic potential as well as various refurbishment and renewable heat supply scenarios. The simulation platform SimStadt which uses 3D building models as input provides the simulation results. The various scenarios are compared and evaluated. This project enables stakeholders to evaluate different sustainable energy measures and aims to contribute to achieving climate goals.

W4RES held its final event as part of “RE-Energising Europe”, a two-day event on 24 and 25 October in Brussels where 7 EU-funded projects (BECoop, Micat, NEWTrends, NRG2Peers, UP-STAIRS and NUDGE) joined forces to organise joint-sessions focusing on energy communities, energy efficiency, energy behaviour, gender equality and new trends.
