Levante – Power your freedom

Sara Plaga

Levante is a greentech startup that has designed and patented an origami-inspired foldable solar panel that you can take with you anywhere to generate clean energy. The aim of the Levante PV modules is to have a mobile and sustainable power generator that can be taken on trips, used in various applications, but also installed at home e.g. on the balcony. Due to the wide range of applications, the CO2 savings from the use of the product can be maximised and the CO2 footprint of the user can be minimised.

W4RES enabled a detailed CO2 analysis of the first prototype, which provided important insights for the development of the final prototype. The support from W4RES has given Levante the opportunity to further reduce the CO2 impact of their product and investigate an optimal sustainable use over its lifetime.

In the second project support from W4RES, the technical service provider HFT continued the CO2 analysis and also developed a tool to calculate the CO2 savings of different use cases of the PV module. By combining the use cases in the CO2 calculation, a realistic and sustainable application of the product was demonstrated. W4RES provided comprehensive and sequential support that allowed Levante to further strengthen its USP.
