APRE, Italian HUB manager of the W4RES project, is pleased to invite you to the second part of the Regional Seminar Green Fabric 4 Society: when sustainability is key for wider social improvement, aimed at raising awareness on Renewable Heating & Cooling technologies and female leadership in this field.
As a tailored capacity building event for decision makers among Italian stakeholders (meaning both business representatives and authorities), the “Green Fabric 4 Society” seminar stands in ideal and technical continuity with the activities carried out during the twin seminar "Capacities strengthening session for a gender-just energy sector", held in the city of Rimini, Italy, in the frame of the 2022 edition of "ECOMONDO - The Green Technology Expo".
The “Green Fabric 4 Society” seminar aims at specifically reaching and training energy communities managers and directive boards present in the national area, for their increasingly important role as decision-makers on energy consumption aspects and drivers of a fair gender policy in the Renewable Heating & Cooling sector. Yet, those figures are not the exclusive target of the event, since it is directed as well to all citizens who have an interest in investigating the depth and possible solutions for gender issues in the energy field.
Furthermore, it is pivotal to point out that the seminar has been designed to present the effectiveness of the project gender mainstreaming methods and tools developed in the past two and a half years of operation of W4RES (e.g., gender analysis, gender audits, gender awareness raising, gender budgeting, gender evaluation, gender impact assessment), so to actually be able to provide energy community managers a targeted training to overcome gender inequality and practical support (through a co-creation exercise) for the development of a “Gender Action Plan” for their sector, whose importance is ever increasing with regard to sustainability in the Italian socio-economic context.
Addressed to different stakeholders (e.g. policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs) the seminar will focus on the best practice of neighborhood energy communities - taking the” Pilastro and Roveri Area” near the historic center of Bologna as an example.
The seminar, held in English, will take place on Wednesday 24th of May, from 9:30 to 13:00 CEST, at the Aemilia Hotel - Via G. Zaccherini Alvisi, nr. 16 in Bologna (Italy).
To participate it is mandatory to fill in the form, only 45 places are available: https://forms.office.com/e/gmETsyRQVX
